It is a great convenience to have a garbage disposal installed in your sink. Instead of having to worry about cleaning out debris that gets washed down the sink, you can just run the garbage disposal for a while, and it will all be gone. The problem is that sometimes your garbage disposal will start to smell badly, and you might be stumped as to how to get rid of the smell. The most common reason for this problem is that some food item has gotten stuck inside of the garbage disposal and started to rot. Fortunately, you might not need to disassemble the garbage disposal to be able to fix the problem. Cleaning it out is as simple as running some ice cubes though it, and the blades should clean off. To prevent things from getting stuck in the disposal, you should always leave it running for a little while with water washing through it every time you use it.
